Super Boxer Series Review ( Australia )

The First Of Many Super Boxing Series LIVE to Free TV Australia just finnished Moments ago.

It was a decent night but was tainted by a couple of bad apples.

I will start with The first of two Bad fights, Daniel Ammann vs Jamie Withers,
The long awaited rematch. The fight was built to be a good fight but ened with a Elbow that cut Open Ammann, It was obvious it was intentinal so the ref called the fight in round 1 and was a tech Draw, Somthing Aussie Boxing DID not want to kick off free to air boxing.

The Next fight was a real tough fight between Dominic Vea And Anthony McCracken, This fight made the night worth it, a real dog fight, Great shots, great chins. I was on the edge of my seat from the opening bell. McCracken picked off Vea nearlly the whole fight until Vea's Lethal Body shots came into effect in the 7th round. droping McCracken 3 times till the ref stopped it.

Billy Dib vs Kenichi Yamaguchi was the draw card for this event and i must say, Seeing Yamaguchi enter the ring like a samurai got me pumped. Round one began with a shocking start, Kenichi acually RAN and threw a Huge haymaker looking to catch Billy, But failed, Mid round Billy was droped by a not so big punch, He recovered fast after a standing 8 count and moments later Droping Yamaguchi and throwing an Illigal Left Hook to the head 2 seconds after the Knockdown, Yamaguchi rised to his feet but was obviously stuned from the illigal punch, The Ref gave a standing 8 count but decided to stop the fight......... I was in shock. It was as clear as day that Billy took a cheap shot. After the fight was called Billy ran over to Kenichi and decided to Push him like a thug, Nearlly causing a riot... Not the start to Free Boxing in Aus....I wont be suprised if the Media jump on this and pull the sport off the air.... Thank you Billy Dib and Ref for single handedly trying to Destroy Aussie Boxing.

I'm not up to scratch on the domestic scene in Australia, but I'll be.. reading these threads & learning as much as possible.. There's a certain 'muck & bullets' about Aussie fighters that I really admire.. Fenech is on my sig & I loved watching Jeff Harding & Barry Michael to..

I can't go to these things anymore. The amount of complete c*nts and wankers that go to these events is really sad. We used to have a great boxing scene and now it's full of a bunch of wannabes that simply hang off the actual boxers and then act tough and try to fight anyone and everyone without any provocation.

It's been these try hard Lebanese tough guys starting near riots (the last one they started became a genuine riot) and ruining what would have been a good boxing event and the first free TV series with their pathetic, weak ass gang mentality, in I don't know how long. Since 'TV Ringside' probably. I can't stand these guys. Really make me sick.

As for the fight, well, it just showed me again why Dib won't ever become anything, and the local contingent failing again with the refereeing. That was an immediate disqualification, without doubt, and even though the ref was in perfect position and obviously saw the whole thing, instead of not DQ'ing Dib, the least he could have done would have been give the guy a five minute break to recover and get back to his senses and take a point off the little runt. What happens though? As usual, the ref decides to give it to Dib by way of KO.

What a way to start the series. I'd nearly forgotten why I stopped going to this type of stuff.
