Cotto? Don't worry, i'm drained for you!

It seems Pacquiao's team is okay with 145 but Pacman wants 143. Wasn't pacman the one that said that 145 was okay because he did not want a boxer going into ring drained and hurting himself? Pacman just wants to take EVERY advantage away from Cotto and that is his right but now i'm really getting fed up with fight and prefer if cotto fights mosley or margarito or berto or whoever. I'm drained from all this BS. Also, cotto needs to quit top rank when his contract is up. Arum does not have your best interest. He does not care if cotto fought the day after the clottey fight. I think after the last 2-3 yrs that cotto needs to take a break and he'll be more dangerous in 2010. Cotto has been with more top 10 fighters than probably anyone in boxing. He has been in wars while others have been in battles.

Cotto in the last 5 years has fought 17 fights of which 7 were ranked top 10 at the time and maybe 2 others were top 15. He does NOT call out the best, he FIGHTS the best. You can call out fighters but end up not fighting them. Wonder how many top 15 fighters Mosley, pacman and floyd have fought? Anyone?

I have the answer to my question:

Mosley- 10 fights in last 5 years with 3 ranked top 10 (at fight time)
Pacquiao- 13 fights in last 5 years with 4 ranked top 10 (at fight time)
Floyd- 8 fights in last 5 years with 3 ranked top 10 (at fight time)

So the answer to WHO has fought the most top ranked fighters in last 5 years has been answered. While others are calling fighters out, 1 boxer is fighting them.

the last 5 years includes half of 2003.

that's 15 fights. 5 guys total were in the top 10 at the division pacquiao fought them. barrera , marquez , morales , diaz and hatton.

          9 fights total.

if you want to just count 2004-present.

          that's 13 fights. 5 guys in 8 fights.

You are right but i was talking about last 5 years. It's like when they name the PRESENT P4P fighterS, should we consider floyd if he was away for 2 years? We can discuss a whole career and say who has more losses but that is not fair because pacman lost wayyyyy long ago. Should we hold that loss against him. You are right if i mentioned last 10 years. i get it.

I welcome your comment, i'm not bashing any fighter just pointing out that some fighters consider themselves THE BEST but avoid the very BEST.

floyd has had 8 fights the last 5 years.

corley (140) , gatti (140) , zab (147) , baldomir (147) , delahoya (154) were all in the top 10 in the division when floyd fought them.

                  that's 5 top 10 guys in 8 fights.

your numbers are off. i don't know where you get your stats. i'm going off of ring magazine.

plus kinda unfair to floyd to count the last 5 years when he hasn't fought since 2007.

I went by the divisions and their rankings at the time. Should've gone with ring magazine. I guess i went with where the fighter was ranked in their division. Just curious.... whose ranking is accepted more? The division(wba, wbc, wbo, IBF) or Ring Magazine. I'm asking because i don't know.
