John Murray, trainer Joe Gallagher, and manager Mike Marsden, have all been fined by the BBBoC for coming in over the lightweight limit ahead of the Scott Lawton fight last month. Murray was stripped of his title after coming in 0.08 kilos over. [details]

Thaxton is my Uncle's (who passed away) cousin, Saw him at the funeral and knew he was years ago never met him in person though.
That still makes me related to him right?

I like both & want to see the fight.it was unproffesional of Murray & I think it was fair to strip & fine him.thaxton was robbed vs that French guy who spit him gumshield out to avoid a tko & I still had thaxton winning.thaxton was very upset at Murray for missing weight not only putting a title fight & nice payday for both in jeopardy but for also disrespecting the British title by missing weight.I like thaxton because he's not a sore loser,trains hard & gives his all.great ambassador for English boxing.I like Murray & kudos to him for excepting responsibility & not making excuses.he's young & we all make mistakes but it's how you rebound after.being a Canadian I wish more of the boxers from north America could be like john thaxton.I like darrin barker,ricky hatton is one of my favorites too.lennox thrilled me with some great fights & always liked frank Bruno who was one of boxings true gentleman.now if only David haye & khan conducted themselves like thaxton.Comment
