It seems he was trainer and cutman for Maidana too, in his bout with Victor Ortiz.

He got fired....at least thats what I read after the fight.

good for him!!! everybody have the right to earn $$$ for his own.. and miguel is a great cutman.. and he deserves any offer from anybody....

Diaz was almost Cotto's trainer, but they split cause of money issues. He was Maidina's cutman/trainer.

One of the best cutmen in the business, plus he should know a lot about Cotto. Good move by team Pac.

If this is the guy who was in Cotto corner vs Clottey, great move! imo that dude saved Cotto the fight. The cut was brutal and bleeding badly, but as we got into the later rounds he had stemmed the blood. Cotto then got alot more aggressive with his visibility somewhat back which surely won him the Close SD.

The cut was because of a headbutt and manny tends to not come in with his head. If it was a cut due to punches i'd be worried. I guess cotto's team will need to find someone else. Diaz might be the best, so cotto's team might need to go look for 2nd best, no big deal. Funny, but first it's 143 lbs, then 65-35 and now this. The title for this thread should be "Pac's team trying very hard to get cotto to turn down fight" lol
