Why did Whitaker and Camacho never fight?

Both were around the same weight I believe...why did this fight never happen?

Because fighters who are undefeated like Camacho generally don't like to be slaughtered by the best boxer since the Fab 4 era.

If I remember correctly, they were good friends. And thinking about it, possibly coke buddies as well.

It's weird how friendships come about... Whitaker seems like he would be irritated by all the ridiculous **** Camacho did.

Just out of curiosity, what the hell does that even mean?
Anyway, yeah, Whitaker would have won. He was much better on the exchanges and would have played the offensive aggressor in this fight. Could have been good, could have been really terrible.
