Boxing is in deep trouble if PacMan vs Cotto doesn't come off

Look at the state of boxing it is not in good shape. You don't even have De La Hoya to give boxing it's annual bonanza this time around. Hatton vs PacMan is good but what else?

Boxing needs it's current biggest star (Pacman) to fight this year against Cotto. They need to fight in November or December.

Cotto-Pac shouldn't happen. Pacman should wait until after JMM-PBF, then fight Floyd in December. But we all know Pacman wants none of slick American boxers

Pac's been diagnosed with ulcer. I hope it doesn't get worse and get in the way of his farewell fights.

Pacquiao/Cotto and Floyd/Marquez are two big fights involving marquee names

              also Haye/Klitschko will be nice

Majority of boxing fans don't want them either.

Countless times in history boxing has been in "deep trouble". It's survived much worse things than missing a big fight at the end of the year.

Then Mayweather and Pacquiao will fight in 2010 and everyone will talk about how it's such a great thing for boxing.
