There Should b a Welterweight Tournament

Good idea but I would add Berto, PWill, Clottey to make it to 8. I'd wager on Clottey and PWill being able to beat some of the people on that original list. Berto is a belt-holder and can join so we can get an even number. Also I don't think PacMan should get a free trip to the title, he's never fought at 147 so why would he be the favorite?

well...if there were to be a tournament...manny pacquiao and JMM shouln'dt be there, quite simply because their not welters only fighters there should be floyd, cotto, shane, judah, collazo, clottey, margarito, williams...quintana... those guys...not jmm or pacquiao, their not welters.

If by "Welterweight Tournament" you mean "Call it a welterweight tournament and leave out most of the real welterweights" You may be on to something.

I agree but either the Floyd/JMM/PacMan's of the world man up and fight real WW or they go to the divisions that they belong in and fight prime LWW and LW's. I'm tired of the whole force Little Lad's to fight you at 147 and the whole catch weight 144/143 garbage. Either fight at 135/140/147, don't play games and run and hide.

2 clafiy what i mean, all the best guys that are hovering around 140-147 should fight, but at the end of the day they all want the welter weight title's so regardless wat there true weight is thats wat there gunning 4 so thats wat they r right now or soon 2 b. As 4 Berto, Williams, Citron etc, there not quite at the elite of the elite level yet, even if they hold belts. I dnt think Cintron will get any better than he is but Berto and Williams r da future. I think when MW's gone Paul williams will easly b the best welter weight.

they tried this a little while ago having a mini tourney of sorts with floyd vs hatton mosely vs cotto every one was down to fight each other but floyd was too scared to fight cotto so he retired instead of fighting a real welter for once he would never join any tourney of this sort unless its him and a bunch of lightweights
