On the contrary.. This was at the Appleby Horse Fair, many years ago near a place called Carlisle in Cumbria, Northern England.. A horse had embedded itself in a barbed wire fence, & was freaking out.. A very big man who has been a horse trader all his life (I know his name) punched the horse just underneath it's ear as a case of emergency, for the hose to be sedated & cut free.. This isn't uncommon in the Romany Gypsy world.. Like humans, there is a wish bone, that switches em off..
