Sure, a prime Tarver was a straight beast...ok.

He fought nobodies himself until RJJ, Eric Harding? he is a real legend let me tell you..most of the guys that he fought up until Jones had at least 4 or more losses on their records or had less than 30 total fights so he was basically fighting underdeveloped journeymen.

He fought Jones when he was in his prime as I'm guessing that is what you are calling his prime and he was like 35 then. He only has 33 fights himself and has lost 6 of them so I really don't see where Tarver should be seen as some superstar guy himself to the point where picking Kessler to win is unfathomable.

Kessler is only 30 and already has 42 professional fights albeit most of them are against no names as well, he has been active in his career. I know Tarver turned pro at 28 so I am not really sure what he could have done earlier in his career had he turned pro at like 17 or 18 or so.

Tarver has a few good wins over Jones who lost more due to his mental problems (being scared) than any physical advantage that Tarver had over him and an avenged loss to Glenn Johnson. I think it would have been a closer fight than most are saying it would have been.

Im sorry, not even a close comparison imo.

Nobody likes Tarver, but that said, imo, Tarver wins easy

I still don't see why Kessler gets praise because of his lost to Calzaghe, because that fight was no where near close. Anyway, Tarver has a better resume and IMO, would be beat him if he was in his prime. He had more power, was naturally bigger and faster.

Kessler wins a UD, Tarver wins the battle of the resumes.

Kessler's science is too tight for Tarver.

P.s street...I see that the "mangler jr. tapping white bitches" option is becoming quite popular...
