Why do so many people have a problem with him? he's using his height and reach to his advantage so then he get's labelled overrated, unskilled etc.. I'm sorry but some of guys need to grow up, you don't have a record like 37-1 from being untalented.

Don't dare say Margarito??, who didn't give him much credit before the fight? Margarito was the WBO welterweight champion when they fought and the favourite to win that fight. As for the opponents Williams has faced.. I agree he hasn't fought big names....yet, but who wants to fight him? Clottey? it's hard to get the big name fights when none of the big names want to fight you.

I don't hate the guy it just annoys me when I see people on this board saying he'd kill any WW, dominate any Jr. MW, beat any MW, etc.

Apparently he's the second coming of Christ. He's got a high workrate, great stamina, good chin, but in terms of boxing skill, honestly I don't see it.

That's just people on this board hyping him up way too much sometimes you just gotta let go through one ear and right out the other. I'm a fan of Williams he stays outside uses his jab well and fights to his strengths, hopefully the big fights will come and he will prove that he's a talented boxer.

As I've said in another thread, if Paul Williams really had the balls to back up his words,

why not go to Europe like Winky did?

I'm not even a Winky fan, but I respect that he didn't just lie around and wait for it to happen, he made it happen. What happened once he made it to the big time is another story though.

PW is another in the line of american fighters who think everyone must come to them.

Its why I have so much respect for Jeff Lacy. Even though he didn't win, he tried to prove his worth and be great by going to someone elses backyard.

You have people here claiming that he would KO AA,Pavlik when hasn't done anything for the past year except beat old guys like Verno and Winky(who hasnt fought for over a fcking year) and beat a bum in versus.
