If Mosley avoids Paul's challenge and fights one of these other guys for peanuts, then it is going to look like he doesn't want the fight. I know Shane is a stand-up guy, but he should do the right thing since his back is against the wall. Even while it's close to the end for him. Even if Mosley beats Paul Williams, he will only have a couple more fights left in his career. At least I think he would. He may be financially hurting that much though, of where he may fight until he's past forty like Hopkins did.

HBO will let Shane no where near Berto. They have invested too much into him to see it slip away via TKO by Mosley. Clottey just isnt in position for this fight now so I see two likely avenues. Paul W at 147 or 154 or an easy stay busy victory over Cintron. Glad to see Shane regain his sanity and give it up.

IMO he should be hoping that the following happens: Mayweather wins over MArquez, Cotto beats Pac that way he has two very good options Cotto or Mayweather. You know Mayweather will not fight Cotto especially if the choice is between Shane or Miguel. If that all comes together Mosley will have his fight with Mayweather and Cotto will be the one waiting.

that Mayweather/Cotto will happen because that would be the
biggest fight for Floyd. Cotto is almost in the position to getting
his long over due ass whipping. But I wouldn't mind seeing
Cotto/Mosley 2 IF both fighters win their next fights.

Man, I can't help but to always address this but will only do it
this one time because this is about Mosley. Shane Mosley is
more of a threat to Mayweather than Miguel Cotto. I still can't
see how people can think that Miguel Cotto is a big threat to
Floyd Mayweather? This is the order of threats to Floyd
Williams/Mosley/Cotto and I don't even consider Cotto a big
threat to Floyd, especially after his last performance against
Clottey. If you take Cotto in deep water and not showing
signs of being hurt, then that dude is going to get discouraged.
Props to him for going on with that cut but that's about it.

I agree with your list but I dont see Floyd hurting Cotto. He is just not that type of fighter. I would be a good matchup and it would all depend on how well Cotto can close the ring and being an effective agressor. Cotto has trouble with bigger men that can go toe to toe with him. That is just not in Mayweather's DNA.

I know Juan Manuel Marquez is a dangerous and skilled fighter
but apart of Mayweather's big ass mouth and ego I just think he
is a smart individual in the ring and will pull off the win come
September when they meet. If JMM wins then I would be happy
too because Juan Marquez is one of my favorite fighters as well
but I'm going with Floyd.

I have lots of love for Marquez!!! I really do. But he has no chance against Floyd.

As far as Shane... He should fight Berto because that would be a good exciting fight for boxing.. Shane can gain an extra strap with a win, and Berto can gain p4p accolades and another title as well for a win. Paul Williams is a problem for anyone from 147 to 160 but the fact is he had to vacate his strap at 147 cuz no one wanted any. Cotto all of a sudden "desired" that same strap only after PWills had left it. That was clearly a punk move by Miguel but he gets to slide cuz he is Cotto (if you're PR)... lol. PWills don't make sense if you're Shane.. risk to reward ratio is really against you there. Fight for THE (WBC) belt and a mega-fight is sure to find you somehow.

Berto vs Mosley makes sense... winner takes all and moves on... loser has to sit back and seriously ponder their future..

I think Mosley and Berto would be a brawl. Mosley is the fav but Berto CAN win with his quick combinations.. best believe that. I would pay to see that fight. GREAT FIGHT
