Can Mayweather beat Williams??

I always thought Mayweather would school Williams but I doubt that now.

Williams has improved since the Carlos Fight, he has been throwing combos well and does not stop throwing. Mayweather work rate is too low to UD Williams. I just don't see how Mayweather will outbox Williams. Mayweather is also past his prime now, people are picking PBF because his performance against Corrales(Tall boxer). Mayweather isn't what he used to be and Williams would sadly stop PBF

Mayweather isn't beating Paul Williams or Margarito. Their styles are both exactly the same with the ladder going to Paul because of his speed and smarts.

Its just a bad style match up. Mayweather wouldn't beat these guys. Of course Floyd's biased fans will say Floyd but on paper. Floyd doesn't beat Paul Williams. In person it may work out differently but all we can go by right now is what is on paper. Paul Williams work rate, reach, height, chin & body will beat Mayweather.

His defense has been great... Sorta hard to find a fight wheres he's been noticeably hurt, or name a single punch that landed clean.

I'm not saying floyd would definitely win, But you have to throw his defense in there at least. Also his OVERALL intelligence in boxing as a whole. This guy is a pure boxer. He throws little with high accuracy and knows when & how to move...not to mention winning all of his fights convincingly with this style (give or take Castillo I)....

I'm not sure if the paper *route* can be used against Mayweather to make a case against for boxer(140-154) to beat him...

But I totally see the point that can & will be made for Williams winning...and no one knows who would win until the fight happens.

floyd IS the MOST highly skilled fighter BUT he is giving up ALOT of height and reach to a younger, bigger, busier fighter.

sometimes there are just bad matchups regardless of skill. a guy like pwill or forrest will ALWAYS give guys like floyd or mosley trouble.

That goes back to me saying Floyd has to fight the perfect fight to beat Paul...it would be his crowning achievement...because I think Paul bateres him senseless.
