Now that Cotto has lost to Margarito and Margarito has lost to Shane Mosley, Mayweather, as we know, has decided to return from his fake retirement. Earlier this year, when Manny Pacquiao and Ricky Hatton were in the early stages of negotiations for their fight, Team Mayweather contacted Team Hatton and attempted to undercut Pacquaio to make a rematch with Hatton. Ricky Hatton’s father revealed this information which was published in Boxing News weekly magazine based in London. Team Hatton told Team Mayweather that they were too far into negotiations with Pacquiao and for this reason Floyd was spurned.

As we know now, Floyd opted to handpick Juan Manuel Marquez as his “comeback” fight. But it is a fact Mayweather (as documented in Boxing News) attempted to make a rematch with Hatton earlier this year, to block Pacquiao from getting the chance at the popular gate attraction Hatton.

Exactly what I've said all along -- Mayweather came back for another payday against hatton, thinking Ricky would demolish Pacquiao. That was the reason behind his UK visit which would have been arranged BEFORE Pacquiao knocked the crap out of Ricky. Things like this (a 12-stop media tour) take time to organize. Why else would he be over in the UK? Trying to sell Mayweather-Marquez? Errr, no. Basically, Floyd's plan backfired.

Incase you guys dont know, Ive been reading Scoop for years and he is the #1 Floyd hater. Its actually weird the way he wants Floyd to lose so bad. He's ripped him non stop while boosting up Cotto, Margarito, Mosley, and Pac. Whats funny is that he also ripped Floyd before the Hatton fight and said that Floyd would lose that fight. After the fight, he finally gave Floyd his due for the 1st time ever and actually said that Floyd has the right to retire if he wants. It didnt last long as he's come right back to ripping him. Him & Fischer are #1 on my list if this fight ever happeneds because both say that Floyd wont fight Pac let alone beat him.
