He was in good shape against Byrd but lost there too.
He had his limitations, and also wasn't the most well connected (compare his title shots compared to some other HWs out there).
Still, I wish he'd trained harder and also been more active lately. We could at least have more highlight reel KOs, and boxing (esp. the heavyweight division) can always use some big punchers.Comment

left handed , too slick , too fast , too good...... byrd is tua's worst nightmare.
i can't even find pictures of the skinny tua anymore. when tua turned pro he weighed 204 lbs. it would have been great if he could've stayed that size.
with his chin , stamina and punching power he could have still been a player at heavy and a nightmare at cruiser.Comment
