If you land 61% of your power punches

If you land 61% of your power punches over twelve rounds, never get seriously hurt or injured, and face an opponent who can only land 28% on you, is the only explanation for your loss a total lack of effort on your part?

Since boxing is scored round by round it depends.

He could of did most of his damage in 5 rounds and do hardly nothing in the other 7 rounds.

Did the guy with 28% get any flash knock downs?

What fight is this from TS? And compubox #s ain't the be all end all. Accordin to compubox, any punch other than a jab is a 'power punch.' The term can be misconstrued.

I bet the guy who landed 61% had an output that was less than half of the other guy's.

No there were no flash knockdowns. I was just rewatching Povetkin/Chambers and got frustrated with Eddie. He gave that fight away and showed absolutely no heart. It is like he never had any intention to win. The punchstats back that up.

Chambers was 136/244 on his power punches. He just couldn't miss but he wasn't willing to throw. No heart. No drive. He landed 8 less power punches than Povetkin will throwing 289 less. He'd be unbeaten somewhat easily if he just had any heart that night. Povetkin was sick too to make matters worse so he wasn't even at 100 percent and Chambers still just let him win.

povetkin is a better fighter, the only thing I like about eddie is his guard to be honest...his guard is one of the best in the business...but he's too damn small for a true heavyweight, but he has great technique...I love watching him fight...but povetkin is better
