Eddie Chambers To Stay Busy Before Klitschko Duel

After the event was over in Hamburg, Germany, promoter Dan Goossen gave me ring to to discuss Eddie Chambers' majority decision win over previously undefeated Alexander Dimitrenko. The fight was WBO mandatory eliminator for a shot at the title currently held by Wladimir Klitschko. [details]

Wise decision - Goossen is one of the best promoters. Inactivity ruins a boxer, they need to stay active to be at their best.

This means nothing. Anyone over 175 pounds could knock someone out cold. All the old timer heavy hitters were 185-200.

You can have plenty of power at 200 pounds. I would know.

Dangerous fight for him imo. Kevin Johnson is pretty good himself. Toss up fight.

How about Arreola vs Chambers? "America's next top heavyweight."

This should put Eddie as the # 1 IBF contender as well, behind Povetkin. So once Wlad beats Povetkin Chambers should be rated # 1 by both the IBF and WBO. Dimintrenko was the perfect size to get him ready for Klitschko and Fedunik also trained Wlad for the first half of his career.

Can somebody explain to me why the Chambers v. Dimitrenko fight should be a 'final eliminator' for anything months before Wlad even fights the current WBO mandatory challenger, Povetkin? Surely the WBO can't deny Wlad a big money voluntary between the two, should he want one? He won't give a rat's arse about Chambers should Haye beat Vitali, or Valuev actually want to fight him.
