90 years ago today, a boxer Chamber's size beat a man Dimitrenko's size

On July 4, 1919, Jack Dempsey dominated and stopped a much bigger man, Jess Willard, to become the heavyweight champion of the world!

Willard was about the same height and had exactly the same reach as Dimitrenko, 83". Dempsey is exactly the same height as Chambers at 6'1" and has about the same reach.

A smaller boxer with speed and technical skills beats a bigger but slower and less skillful fighter every time.

That's right, i always hated when people were saying that Chambers should go to the Cruserweights because of his size.

And look what he has done.

It's quite nice indeed. Although it was nowhere near a slaughter like that brutal day in 1919.
Dimitrenki still has time to learn and grow as a fighter.

I agree. Dimitrenko is slow, average technically, and not a big puncher. I knew Eddie had this. I'm excited to see the fight. I've said since day one he was the best American Heavy by far. He has skills you can't teach. Speed kills.

Speed is the single most important attribute for a boxer, even more important than power.

Doesn't Willard have the reputation of being arguably the worst heavyweight champion of all time?
