Old Time HW's vs Modern HW's

Wow that was a great performance, Chambers made Dimitrenko look very bad.

This fight made me think, about the great debate, could Old Time HW champs compete with the Monsters of Today?

    We just got our answer.

    Eddie Chambers: 6'0 (183cm) - 208¼ (94.5kg) - Reach 75"

    VS

    Alexander Dimitrenko 6'7 (201cm) - 253½ (115kg) - Reach 83″

45 lbs (20 kg) , 7 inches (18cm) of height and 8" of reach advantage for the Modern HW.

    And look at the result.

A shame that Chambers doesn't have the Killer instinct to follow up and KO Dimitrenko.

And i don't get the guys who always say that Chambers should go to Cruiserweight, WHY?

He's a top HW who is always competitive (he could have beat Povetkin, but he was to lazy in that fight) and he's making more money, why should he go down?.

Chambers kinda reminds me of a Jimmy Young.

Also that Paul Thomas judge should be shot, 113-113

I've never had any doubts that the past greats could compete with today's fighters.

I agree with what you are saying about Chambers and the cruiserweight division. He is a legit top 10 heavyweight, there's no need for him to go into the minor leagues unless he loses.

Also agree with the Jimmy Young comparison, very similar styles. He reminds me of Chris Byrd too.

I was watching Young's fight with Foreman this week, and that was my first tought.

I think Eddie should always stay at HW, The HW's pay much more.

He has the speed and ability to beat the modern HW's, but he needs to work in his finish, he could have put away Dimitrenko.

      And improve his punch output.

Losing the fat, made him much better, he should try to always stay at this weight 209 lb.

Dimitrenko must have been drugged it is impossible for a man of Chambers weight and height to beat such a big man.

Today's heavyweights couldn't even **** with the 90's heavyweights. Lennox, Bowe, Evander, Tyson, Moorer, Foreman...Wlad and Vitali could compete

Let's not even bring the 70's and earlier heavy's in the discussion.
