Moreno Grabs Split Call Over Monshipour in France

At the Parc des expositions in Poitiers, Vienne, France, WBA bantamweight champion Anselmo Moreno (26-1, 8KOs) of Panama won a split decision over hometown hero Mahyar Monshipour (31-4, 21KOs) to retain his title. Monshipour returned to boxing in December, which was almost three years after his brutal fight with Thailand’s Somsak Sithchatchawal in March 2006. [details]

Wow...that's pretty sad. I thought Monishipour was ruined.

Damn it, now if Vic beats Agabeko, that means Vic's gonna be at 2 and the 1 vs 2 can never happen because of the damn no unify with the ibf/wbo jap rule.

      I'd like to see Hasegawa-Vic (WBO/IBF)or Moreno-Vic (WBA/IBF) for sure.

Monshippur took a long time off and went down, so it's to his credit that he fought so well. The other guy in that fight in 2006 Somsak, is definitely shot at this point.
