Ofcourse it would have made a difference but that wasn't the only issue. More like Hatton's punch resistance took a hit, he wen't from taking Kostya Tszyu/ Mayweather's punches to getting hurt by Juan Lazcano, even Paulie. It wouldn't have made a difference though, he would have still lost to both.

Hatton has no one to blame but himself. Floyd Sr told him to stop drinking and he made it clear he wasn't gonna stop, saying it was a part of him.

There is no "if" for Hatton... he's just weak against those 2.

he always would've lost to those 2.

Also i think his lifestyle outside the ring is greatly overplayed.
There is no question he was always in great shape when he went into the ring. During training he lived the life of a pro fighter. No junk food. Maybe a beer after training if he felt like it. Its not like he was getting smashed when he should have been training for a fight.
Inbetween fights he didnt eat right, ate a lot of ****. he got pissed too. But its not like he was smashed of his head everyday when he wasnt in the gym. He got pissed with his mates occasionly. It was the food more than anyhting that made him blow up in weight.
People talk about him like he's an alco.
Also it seems there's a different attitiude to drinking in the states than the UK/Ireland. its alot more acceptable here than america

Its hard to say really. Even though hatton drank and stuff he still found a way to beat the kostyas of this world by fighting the right fight.
He didnt against Pac and PBF possibly.
His drinking he has been doing it all his life so to suddenly stop wouldnt help him i think. Drinking must have an accumalitive effect and you cant undo that by not drinking for a training camp.

Dont think it'd made a whole lotta difference. His style was never matching up to Floyds. I think he could've given it a better go against Pacquiao a few years ago when he could still take a punch and Pac wasnt as complete a fighter as he is now.

Gotta love Ricky, he's been able to be in some of the biggest fights ever whilst living the same lifestyle as most of us lol

hitman fell short against 2 p4p...not bad ay? while not ascending to those lofty heights he is still world class...i felt floyd sr promised change but failed to deliver...ricky shouldve been more competitive against pacman but instead he reverted to type and seemed oblivious to the southpaw style...all these things shouldve been picked up and red flagged by mayweather, so dont let that guy off the hook.
