Hey man, on the reals, who are you to look down on these guys?
Floyd, Cotto and Manny are people just like me and you. I would
never judge any of them because even though I am a fan of a lot
of famous actors, athletes, musicians...etc.....don't mean that I
look to them to shape me out as a person. If I saw Miguel Cotto
in a bar hanging out drinking then I would join him and encourage
him and give him his props prior to what I feel about his skills in
the ring. If I saw Floyd in a club I would hang out with him and be
happy to get a photo with the guy because I am a fan. If I saw
Manny I would shake his hand and tell him he is doing good by helping
the poor. These guys have a right to their personal lives and what
they want to do with it. I'm sure even though Cotto drinks, Floyd
flashes and Manny helps I'm sure each of them have moments that
we don't see prior to what they show us, so you can't say who they
are and what they should be doing. Floyd talks smack outside the
ring but inside he is totally professional and courtesy. Cotto and
Manny seem like good guys as well but we all have our flaws
but ain't my place to judge them for that because I'm not perfect
and neither are you.

i'm not saying they can't be human beings, and i'm surely NOT looking down on them, because they're people just like me. but that's the problem too, cotto is not someone people can look up to. he has too much personal problems (drinking being one of them)

their status in society gives them extra responsibility, since a lot of people look up to what they do and try to emulate it. they carry that extra responsibility not because i say so, but because that's how this world is

that's all i'm saying bro. if you plan on representing a country and proudly saying it time after time, then do it! do go and act like wilfredo gomez that ended up using *******, be like tito trinidad that represented PR and people DID have reasons to look up to him. if he can do it, why can't cotto? heck if me, a absolute NOBODY in terms of recognition can do it, why can't he? he who claims to carry all of us with him? this is a microscopic island, and even my 9 year old cousin knows that cotto is regularly seen drunk outside pubs in caguas. i'm sorry, but i view boxing as a profession that has to carry a certain degree of maturity, social responsibility and professionalism outside of the ring.

btw man, i got nothing against going put and having a drink. i don't do it for the sake of my health that's really been an issue even with a strict diet and 0 alcohol. what i'm against is with going out 5 times per week to get drunk while you have a wife and 5 kids waiting for you at your home. i love cotto inside the ring, but despise hat part of him outside of it.

oh well... at least he talks like a gentleman with tons of humility to the press, unlike juanma

Floyd, or any other fighter or pro athlete for that matter, should know dang well that the IRS gets theirs first. If he's not responsible, it'll be on him.

Lets be real fam......No matter if Floyd has money or not.......
Fact of the matter is that Cotto is not a fighter I see Floyd
ducking or running from. Cotto has NEVER convinced me
that he can beat Floyd.......Dude is just a punching bag
with arms. I commend his heart but way to vulnerable
to compete. For the record, I hope that fight does happen
after Manny if Cotto wins so Floyd can finally school this

I hear you man, but sometimes you can be the best person you can
be in the world and people will still find an excuse on why they
should not like you or point out your flaws. It's just apart of society.
Cotto, Floyd and Manny have their pros and cons but I wouldn't let
these guys raise my kids just because their supposed to be role
models. A lot of people act like their good and cover it up
pretty well but in actuality they are the most evil ones who smile
all day. All 3 of them guys are professional in the sport of boxing
so that's good for me. I laughed a lil when you said Cotto was seen
outside a bar drunk.....ha ha!! I would watch myself if it was
me especially if I had $ and fame but hey! Cotto must be a wild
drunk because he is always laid back and chill. Look at what Keiffer
Sutherland did in a club and so many others who are in the public
eye. It makes sense with what your saying but in reality things
are a lil more complicated than that, more than they need to be.
But Cotto seems like a guy who works hard, so I'm figuring he
plays hard as well.
