I dont care what anybody says, I would be happy to witness El Terrible in the ring a few more times. He gave a good fight against David Diaz so lets see what he shows us on sept/oct.

        Morales

Erik needs to stay retired. I like him but it really doesnt matter how much he trains his body has been through a lot and im sure has gained a lot of weight. i seen him at the margarito cotto fight and just by looking at him (a year ago) he looked like hes been enjoying his food. honestly, what weight will he fight at? junior welter? i think hes pushing it. if he really wants to fight a top fighter maybe he should follow barreras path and take on khan?

Another legend who will stay in the game too long. Boxing will be forced to retire him at some point.

who will erik morales first fight, probably a boxer with a 50-50 record, then maybe calls out zahir raheem in a rematch, or may try to land a fight with juan manuel marquez in which JMM wont agree.

He should stay retired but if he must insist on coming back, Julio Diaz would be the right opponent since they are both coming off tough loses.

He better have been training for months already by now. He was so fat last time I saw him that he looked close to being obese. He reminded me of Vargas and if he thinks he can get back down to lightweight by September with a normal training routine starting in a month or so, he has another thing coming. He would struggle to make 140 today I think.

In all honesty though, I would just rather see him stay retired. His last four or so fights were miserable and it was sad seeing him reduced to such a fighter after what he had been in his prime. He simply wouldn't stand much of a chance against any top fighter today and with all the weight he's put on and all the struggle he had towards the end, it could end up being disastrous. It was lucky the Diaz fight didn't end up being disastrous.

The fact he got knocked down, though it was ruled a slip, by Diaz of all people shows just how far he had fallen by that stage. Diaz would not have been able to touch him years before and wouldn't have even made a dent in him with his hardest punch. Really sad. Hopefully, he realises the end is already past and he stays retired and enjoys life.
