i like your wit, your sarcasm and your logic.
and we're on the same wavelength.
    keep posting, brah........sarcastically cool

pac's ascent to superstardom and p4p king were all about taking chances/risks.
lebwada, barerra, morales, diaz, oscar, hatton.
only when he demolished these fyters did people say that they are all shots.
though he was always belittled during the pre-fyt hypes.
nothing is new with the forthcoming cotto fyt.
the same analyses, predictions ........and outcome.

is pacs vacations over already? because i think he havent seen the contract yet, w/c is the start of the "hard part" of the negotiation.

he was in ny to collect his foty awards.

he didn't even want to go but they talked him into it.

i'm sure pacquiao doesn't care who he fights as long as it gets him paid the most.

This fight is actually good for both boxers because both have a backup plan if they lose.

We all know that there will be only megafights for both fighters if they win and we all know that they have mentioned that 2010 might be Pacman's last year and 2011 will be Cotto's, Therefore 2 more good fights for Pacman and from 4 to 5 for Cotto.

However if pacman losses he can say he should not had fought in WW and can always rely on fighting Marquez for thr 3rd time and rebuild again from there. Even if they both lose their next fights a 3rd fight against each other and genrate a good revenue.

If Cotto losses he still has the rematch with Mosley or a big pay day fighting Margarito next year after his suspencion. The hype around a Margarito rematch is already built and people want to see for sure if there will be a difference in Margarito against Cotto due to the plaster issue.

True that both fighters are putting at risk a mega fight against Maywether but then again there's never a guarantee that Maywether will fight a high risk fighter. I really doubt that if Cotto demolish Pacman, or Pacman demolish Cotto, Maywether will accept to fight them, he'll probably ask to fight the winner of Berto/Collazo II, Quintana or even Paulie.

In boxing any fighter is at risk once they step into the ring, can you say Buster Douglas/Tyson, Quintana/Williams or even last week with Victor Ortiz.

Promoters always try to have a Plan B for their fighter because remember they lose too.

The good thing about this fight is that we will see to great warriors that come to bring great offensive action in the ring and they are known for espectagular fights that pleases all type of boxing fans.

              good post.

all joking aside it's a good fight for everyone involved.

manny , miguel and bob gets paid good money.

manny gets a shot at another title in a 7th division.

miguel gets a superfight that could make him a star.

the winner can get a shot at another super fight with floyd.

the loser also doesn't lose much. if cotto loses , he just lost to the #1 p4p fighter in the world. if pac losses , he just lost to a welterweight champ who was much bigger than him.

hell if the fight turns out good we could be seeing a trilogy where all 3 make out like gangbusters.

              win , win for all.

the only losers in this fight is golden boy and golden boy fighters.

                    1. golden boy is not involved in this because pacquiao is not fighting a gbp fighter which he has the last 4 of his 5 fights.

                    2. floyd would much prefer pac , so if cotto wins who knows if that fight would get made , whereas floyd would jump at a chance to fight pacquiao.

                    3. marquez has to be rooting for cotto if he losses to floyd. if pacquiao wins it's doubtful he could get a 3rd fight with pacquiao and no way should a fight be made between cotto and juanma.

                    4. mosley would fight whoever wins but the winner will have the option of a fight with floyd.

                    5. imagine if cotto-pac becomes a foty level close fight. what if these 2 rematch or have a trilogy? everyone named above would be screwed.
