There once was a man named Joe, Who was a great amateur boxer. One day he decided to turn Pro.
Meanwhile across the Atlantic another young man was racking up wins, his flashy style made him plenty of fans. Schoolchilderen across america rejoiced as he battered and humiliated their teachers, Postmen everywhere who had for so long feared vicious dogs waiting by the letterbox had a new worst nightmare, his name was Roy Jones.
As Calzaghe defeated some of the best european talent around and gained a world title Jones was asked "Why not fight Joe Calzaghe?" Jones laughed the question off, for more money was to be made wiping out lorry drivers. Jones continued on this path to ATG status while Joe fought the best that Europe had to offer.
Eventually a young man, who had made his name beating tomato cans in america (remind you of anyone?) stepped up, he lost badly to joe but at least he tried.
Joe had some other wins, over hopkins and kessler most notably, but by this point jones, having been exposed was scrambling around trying to restore his career. he saw his chance. "Well im old now so i can fight him finally and get loads of money! and when i lose no-one will care because im old!"
Jones was battered in the fight, and was made to taste his own medicane as calzaghe showboated on the defenceless old jones. But roy didnt care, money in the bank is money in the bank.
