Andreas Kotelnik is a Man With a Plan To Overtake Khan

After an injury scare, needless rumor mongering, and a long wait, the Andreas Kotelnik versus Amir Khan match is nearly upon us, and WBA light-welterweight title holder Kotelnik has been working behind closed doors to find a way to overcome the youngster from Bolton. [details]

One of the pundits on sky last night said something about this fight that i didnt think about. Long story short; the germans dont let their champions fight outside germany unless they are 99.99% sure he will win. His team are obv. very very confident that they can beat Khan, easily.

U can read into that what ever u want, just thought i'd share it.

Kotelnik is a great fighter but a fast mover like Khan will give him problems. I think this fight will be decided in the later rds, I got Khan.

I got Khan too, but that statement made me think about it again. With Khan u can never be sure, he could win every second of every rd, up until he gets hit!!!
Ze Germans must think they've got Khan's number. The ref could play a big part in this, cos i think there may be a bit of home cooking in this. If Kotelnik can tie Khan up a bit and nulify his speed, Khan could be in trouble.

I want Khan to win, but I think his chin is going to let him down.

He's going to fight similar to what he did against Barrera. He'll come in, unload a flurry and get back out before Kotelnik can fight back.

I never seen Kotelnik tie anyone up, he's a good counterpuncher, invites you in and covers up, if Khan can keep his speed and dance I think he can pull it off.

yeah but he hinted there he's gonna try something a bit different. If he was just doing his usual training why be so secretive? I think we're gonna see him fight a different fight than usual

I doubt Kotelnik has the power to get Khan out of there. He may put him down a couple of times, but I don't think he has the power or aggressiveness to keep him down.

Prescott had a 90% KO ratio when he fought Khan, and Kotelnik only has a 38% KO ratio, and is two inches shorter than Prescott.

I see Khan troubling Kotelnik with his speed and movement early on, and forcing a stoppage around the 6th or 7th round. Kotelnik may get a knockdown, but I don't see him winning the fight.
