Lennox Lewis and the KLITCHKO BROTHERS are top 3 heavyweights of all time

Rather see it this way: If a featherfist like Ali could KO Liston then this shows you either 1) how overrated Liston was 2) or that he _DID_ make a dive against Ali because Liston feared retaliation from Ali's friends from the Nation of Islam. Islamic terrorism is a serious matter.
I think you reveal with each post how much personal hate you have for AliComment

The only reason TS added Lennox to the list is because he mutilated a prime Klitscko when he was in the worst shape of his career, and was past it while Klitscko wa sprime.
If that hadn't happened, this would have been a Klits only thread.Comment

lewis is an ATG no question...vitali is a lot more hype than he is skill and wlad im not 100% sold on...i mean he is incredibly smart...disciplined and steamrolls majority of his opponents but until someone reallys tests him at HW i cant say for sure.
all time greats dont make me think vitali...i think marciano, ali, frazier, louis, dempsey, etc. etc. etc. (could go on forever) but it would take at least 100 hw before a current hw even popped into my head.Comment

As with most fantasy compares, the temper fly high in this thread.
Truths:
a) ATG boxers of former times are in the HOF for a reason. They did dominate their opposition, OR were exciting to watch OR were technically superior OR had a terriffic KO rate - OR all of the reasons.
Let's make a USSR-based Hall of Fame and then complain "How many HOFers from the HOF did Ali beat?"Comment

Two things are clear in this thread:
1. KNN is a woman, she admitted as much back on ESB.
2. If Tunney doesn't know that KNN is a woman then, by the end of the day, he will be trying to E-shag her.
On the real though, I don't understand the logic of this KNN chick. So because the cruiserweight limit is 200lbs today that means that heavyweights from past eras never existed? What weight class were they fighting in?Comment

@ knn
MAYBE the US fighters dominated the sport for many decades, because the USSR fighters didn't go for the belts (political reasons). MAYBE not. It does not really matter - the IBHOF was founded by Americans for the US-dominated sports heroes.
One thing is for sure - the percentage of US champions is decreasing. So, other nations' champions WILL enter the HOF. That is simply the way it is.
No matter what WE think about the style of the Klitschkos (efficiently, but boring), they will probably enter the HOF in a few years. They simply beat the **** out of the current TOP15, and dominate the division. In a couple of years they'll be mentioned alongside with the champions of the 90s (Tyson, Lewis, Holyfield...).
They are doing almost everything right during their reign. The only thing to keep against them is - boxers are sportmen AND entertainers. And both Klitschkos fail to entertain on a sporting level. They win, and do so soundly, but they are NOT ENTERTAINING. And if too many boxers would fight this way, too many fans would leave the sport, and the money basis for the big events would crumble (as it does right now).
The K brothers have realized this, and pull off big shows as a side-dish to their fights (60'000 people is HUGE). And I thank them for this. BUT there are still many people who would like to see more "fighting" and less "fencing" in the ring (including me). I do not grudge or hate them for this.Comment

I am saying that if Muhammad was spewing something in the meaning of "You will regret that you called me Clay. My name is Muhammad" then I consider this trashtalk indication enough for a possibility of some *********ic attack outside of the ring. Enough for Liston to make a dive:I merely state facts or claims that can be documented.Others believe that he feared for his safety from Nation of Islam extremists who supported Ali. The latter theory was supported by Mark Kram's book Ghosts of Manila, which included an interview with Liston conducted years after the fight. Liston claimed to have intentionally lost because of his fear of retaliation from the Black ******s.

Sonny cleared his throat, sat up and began talking like a man who is discussing a painful subject for the absolute last time. "Clay caught me cold and the count was messed up, and that's all they was to it," he said. "Clay knocked me down with a good punch. Anybody can get caught cold in the first round, before you even work up a sweat. And when I was down, Clay stood right over me. No, I never blacked out, not for a second. But I wasn't gonna get up, either, not with him standin' over me. See, you can't get up without puttin' one hand on the floor, and so I couldn't protect myself, and he can hit me on the way up.
"So there was Walcott [Referee Jersey Joe Walcott] and Clay wrasslin' over me and Walcott finally got him to a corner or somethin', and then I got up and Clay come back and we started back to fightin' again.
"And Nat Fletcher [ Nat Fleischer, editor of The Ring Magazine] began wavin' his arms at ringside and Walcott stopped the fight. Nowadays Nat Fletcher says he was just callin' Walcott over to tell him that the timekeeper wanted to see him or somethin', but other people says it was Nat Fletcher stopped the fight.
"I was never counted out. I coulda got up even right after I was hit. And I still felt pretty good when I did get up. I mean I could still go on. What Walcott shoulda done, he shoulda sent Cassius to a neutral corner. When the referees call you out in the center of the ring before a fight, they tells you that: go to a neutral corner. And that's when they count you out, not with no fighter standin' right over you.
"They shouldn't have fighters refereein' no fights no way," Sonny added, now back in his horizontal position. "They should have people that don't get excited."
