exactly, hagler, monzon, and foster never were more then one division champs, and they were p4p greats imo,

and he could beat anyone from 160 to 175 if he wanted

I try to give Hopkins the benefit of the doubt. But he needs to try to make something happen pretty soon. I don't see it as a reasonable thing to do to depend on HBO to help make fights for you. If they are going to shut him out until 2010, then maybe Hopkins needs to consider fighting on Showtime. Golden Boy has had a few fights on that network. I think Hopkins does deserve to be on the P4P list because of his skills. But he needs to take a fight to go along with it. He deserves some more time before he gets booted off. And if you go by punch quality, and not quantity, he should be 6-0 in his last 6 fights.

He needs to sign another fight pretty soon otherwise he's going to slip off the rankings, but he beat Pavlik who was p4p top ten I think at the time, he lost a close decision to the #3 in the world Calzaghe, beat Tarver and Wright, and was middleweight champ for a decade. A lot of it has to do with reputation but his 2006-2008 is impressive as well.
