Why was there no De La Hoya - Trinidad rematch?

sorry but that doesnt make sense were talking bout the rematch and you said oscar won but its not true cause it never happened now if we were talking bout the first fight you could make a case for it

It had absolutely nothing to do with Bernard Hopkins!
It was all about the split.
EVERYONE whether you were a Trinidad or A Hoya fan wanted to see this match, Hopkins win or not.
We all know Hoya could have made the fight, especially since he felt he "gave a boxing lesson" but he chose to make ridiculous proposals to the Trinidad camp, knowing Trinidad would not take it. Then make believe it was a money issue, when we all know he has no problem with money..lol

How you gonna say it had nothing to do with hopkins when hopkins put tito in retirement for 3-4 years!! that killed it.

Your either hating or just not informed on the subject but are trying very hard to draw a conclusion based on God KNOWS WHAT..lol
After the Hopkins loss Tito fought like 6 months later then he fought Mayorga 2 years later, then Winky 1 year later......so do the math dummy!
all those fights equal 3-4 years..the amount of time you claim he didnt fight he fought 3 opponents...THEN HE WAITED 3 YEARS TO FIGHT JONES!!.
Also everyone in here knows damn well for many years after WE ALL WANTED TO SEE THE REMATCH AND NO ONE BLAMED HOPKINS FOR MESSING IT UP!!!

ODLH lost that fight because he was afraid of getting hit by tito,he won the first five rounds but then he ran the rest of the fight,he gave the first fight away so didnt want to chance it again
