The article actually quotes promotor Sauerland for saying that Abraham could even move up to 175!

I have my questions about Kessler, Calzaghe clearly hurt Kessler with a nicely timed body shot and Calzaghes hands are a bit broken. As far as I know, Abrahams hands are fine and aren't broken but he clearly won't be as fast as Calzaghe but if Kessler lets AA land I can see AA finishing Kessler.

Lots of users keep saying AA is overrated but I think the opposite of him, I think he is underrated.

I think Kessler beats him easily. I also think Froch, Bute and Pavlik do also.

I am just not sold on Abraham. He struggles against unknowns and the biggest opponent he has faced is Miranda. Miranda gave him a life or death struggle one time and then he knocked out Miranda the second time, but by then Miranda was already wrecked by Pavlik.

He might be better than I think, but I just have a gut feeling he is going to lose to the next good opponent he faces.

Kessler is quicker and more active. I think he'd take a UD in a good fight. I'd luv to see this one.

Miranda broke AA's jaw early in the fight which contributed to Mirandas success. In the rematch there was no doubt.

This match-up would answer a lot of questions regarding both men. Kessler has never faced anybody with remotely the firepower of Abraham and Abraham has never faced anyone as fast and as skilled as Kessler.

I think Kessler takes it. I voted a decision but I wouldn't rule out a KO. Abraham has shown weaknesses in his last 2 fights in the chin department. Simon had him visibly wobbled by a left hook and Oral connected with a couple of good rights that seemed to bother Abraham.

I voted decision also, mainly because Kessler is rusty. If Kess was in his best fighting form, I think he would stomp Abraham.

The more I watch Abraham the more I realize how sloppy and lazy he is in the ring. It is just not a recent trend either, he has always been over economical. He has great power, but as long as someone keeps punching him, he won't throw any. He beat Miranda the second fight because Miranda got tired and stopped throwing IMO.

Miranda had the wrong tactics and perhaps also lacjed the tools. He tried to tear Abrahams head off by throwing everything with mean intentions.

Kessler is much more skilled and will likely try to keep AA at the end of the jab. AA might appear slow and lacklustre at times but those heavy combos is real quick so you got to be alert at all times and try to disrupt those combos with straight punches IMO. I think Kessler has the tools.

The big question here is, is Mikkel Kessler going to fight in 2009? And if so, will he fight anyone of any consequence?...

Latest news is that he turned down an offer from his promotor for a fight against mandatory Gusmyl Perdomo. Kessler's attourney rejected the offer because the offer was for a fight in september or early october. Kessler wanted to fight in August.

So now the fight looks headed for purseoffer which will delay it further.
