My mistake, good debating either way.

Atlas didn't make Tyson the fighter he was and I never claimed he did. He has had experience training Tyson though and if he is able to teach Povetkin the things that Tyson could do, Povetkin could improve greatly.

I'm sure there's a reason why Atlas is being hired as his trainer (or atleast tried out), his previous experience training Mike Tyson being one of them.

D'Amato was possibly the best ever at training fighters like Povetkin. If Atlas has half the knowledge of D'Amato, his mentor, he could do wonders for Povetkin who has been accused of being a bit too amateurish.

Okay, that explains why Tyson lost in the Olympic trials!

"Iron Mike" came into his own after Atlas was fired by D'Amato.
It was the Jr Olympics. Atlas had left long before the Olympic trials.

Jun Don Cozad KO 1 U.S. Jr. Olympic Tourney, Heavyweight Salem, OR

Povetkin has good punch output but he needs to learn how to move his head and upper body better maybe Atlas will work well with him i don't know but it will take a fair bit of time to get those things into his game.

Although I can’t stand Teddy (because of his Klitschko hate), I would like to see him help improve Povetkin so that the fight can be, at least, a little competitive..

It is too early for Sasha to fight Wlad -- the fight would be too unequal at this point. I am not sure how Atlas can help. He does not have a great record as a trainer.

That made no sense, it was chambers who faded. Chambers didn't throw **** in the later rounds. The early rounds are actually what chambers won, the later rounds he threw next to nothing and just kept in a shell defense that povetkin was punching through.
