if marg were to quit on the stool, with one eye closed and the other cut, would he be a *****?

    Pinoys:
If pac on the stool after taking a savage beating from a bigger puncher, would you want him to go out for another round, only to be finished off? or could it be justified for him to call it a day?

    im just wondering thats all....
    I seriously don't know man.
I mean I can never imagine pac quitting.
But if he did, I most probably won't hold it against him.
It's him that's getting hit out there man, not me.
But the thing is, what i notice about great fighters is usually they have that "never give-up attitude".
They all know that nobody is gonna hand them that top spot, they have to earn it with blood and sweat.
    So I'm really not sure.
I'd probably be really disappointed and would still be a fan but maybe not as big as before he quit....

My favorite fighter did quit, Erik Morales

but it was in one of the last fights of his career. A career that had you thinking, "how in the hell does he not go down?"

Victor Ortiz gave up at the first sign of trouble metaphorically speaking.

        Huge difference.

Wasn't it funny how quick Ortiz got up from the knockdown and then quit? Instead he could have stayed down for a bit if he was seriously hurt and took a long 8 count and got up since some refs even start to count a bit slower to give the fighters more time to recuperate. And it was funny it seemed like he had his legs under him after getting up quickly walking all fine.

my all time favorite fighter tommy hearns never quit, and he would never quit eighter. hopkins is my current favourite fighter. dont know if he would even quit, he only took real damage once in his first mercado fight. fought thru it. but then he was fighting for his first title, to put food on the table. now its a whole new scenario. eighter way i wouldnt hold it against him at this stage. cuz of his age. if a fighter in his prime quit i would like him alot less. i would never call a boxer a ***** though. nobody who has the balls to get in the ring is a *****. except charlie z. with him it aint about balls its about lack of brains. i wouldnt call him a boxer eighter. dont know why i mentioned him to begin with..

People use the word "quitter" to annoy other people.

People make all sorts of threads talkin **** about how a fighter is a ***** and a quitter if they cannot carry on any more. Any of the people who make them threads wouldn't dare step foot in the ring.

BPP gave his opinion on this fight aswell and said Ortiz quit. You know who BPP is right? I can even show you the post he posted on this forum if you want me to look it up. People are saying he quit because he did and he even admitted it in the interview after the fight. Now some people you might say people like me are using it to annoy others when I'm just pointing out what my eyes saw.

In that same post BPP explained that what Cotto did was not quiting because he seriously took punishment and had to go on his knees because of it.

I know he gave up. But people are insulting him for it where as 99% of the people here wouldn't dare do what he does.

if my favorite fighter quit it's because he fought his hardest and kept going at it till his body can't go anymore.

he wouldn't quit when he finally fights someone who fights back....and don't wanna fight back when it gets tough....
