VIDEO OF HIS PRO DEBUT, 29/JUN/09

    ---------------------------

Felix Diaz, finally a Pro Fighter!!

He has always been the small one in his category, at amateur boxing in the Men's Light Welter divison (64kg), but that didn't stop him to become the best Amateur Light Welterwight of the World in Beijing.

His coach has always said that his height doesn't really matter, because Felix has a bigger heart than all his opponents.

Standing only 5'5, he became the only boxer from America to get a Olympic Gold in Beijing and the first dominican boxer to acomplished that feat.

He's working with his same coach, that helped him to get the gold, cuban Pedro Luis Díaz.

And will make his debut at 25 years old, today in Santo Domingo versus mexican Hugo Pacheco.

He made weight at 139.3/4 lbs.

Felix Diaz, if he can stay focused and disciplined, will have a good chance to get to the top. He's a non stop puncher and a southpaw which is a plus. Bradley is 5'5 too.

I can't wait to see him at the top, just imagine in 2 years wars with Bradley, Maidana, Valero, Ortiz, etc.

And he's going to be very dangerous, an all action southpaw fighter.

Erislandy Lara vs Felix Diaz will be the better fight in the future at Welterweight.

Lara could only make Welterweight if he chopped of both arms?

He's campaigning at welter right now, he doing that because all the money fights are in this division.
