Nah man, Vasquez is more durable than Rafa. For Rafa to beat Juanma, he'd have to hurt him early and get his respect, early. Rafa is a bit Chinny and Juanma is naturally larger than him. Izzy can take a great shot evident in his three fights with Rafa, who is a great puncher. Izzy would take Lopez to deep water and stop him late.

Vazquez is too easy to hit, may be a little too spent after that trilogy, plus Juanma has the power, work rate, youth and hunger to give him problems. I think Juanma would beat him.

I love Izzy, but Juanma has so many advantages I honestly think Juanma would overwhelm him.

Vazquez has been in a lot of wars and he can be hurt, Lopez has an advantage in height at 3 1/2 inches and reach, power (debateable but I think Lopez hits harder), workrate (Lopez has an insane workrate).

His workrate combined with the ability to KO you with any shot I think would trouble Vazquez greatly. I don't think he will be beaten at super bantamweight.

Israel Vazquez has been hurt, dropped and stopped several times throughout his career. He is a very determined fighter with great recuperative ability, but he can be hurt.

Last time Vazquez faced a bigger, longer puncher he was dropped twice. I speak of course about the Jhonny Gonzalez fight. Gonzalez is the man, but he isn't quite as versatile as Lopez and his punching power isn't as potent. Vazquez was GREAT in coming back from those knockdowns, but a guy like Lopez would have put him away before he had the opportunity to return fire.

You have to wonder what Vazquez will look like after all of the slugfest fights he has been in. I think he'd take too much punishment too early against Lopez and Lopez would come out victorious before experience even really had a chance to be a factor.

Did you see last night's fight? He looked spent by the 7th against a no name Canadian with pillows for hands. He got caught with a couple of shots that seemed to straighten his legs. And he was complained about **** from the opening round. Vasquez is at the elite level of the division, Juanma don't want no part of that right now.
