"About 10-15 minutes after the fight, as I made my way across the ring to talk to Freddie Roach, he was having a discussion with Schaefer, ringside. You don't have to be a member of MENSA to get an idea of what they were talking about - Roach becoming the new trainer for Ortiz. I was asked by a few fans and boxing figures what I thought of the proceedings. My answer was simple: "Great fight, but Ortiz needs a new trainer."

Lol I was thinking the same. Every time someone gets dominated and knocked out, Roach seems to be linked to them. Khan, Margarito, Ricky now Ortiz.

I read that also this AM. I think Freddy might be a little too busy for Ortiz. He is going to need some serious attention and hand holding, Freddy seems to do well with guys with supreme confidence (we don't know what has happened with Khan yet since he got ktfo). Joe Goosen is a good motivator who might have more time to work with Ortiz.

Ortiz didn't listen to his corner, he needs a trainer who can work 1 on 1 with him for a long time, and get him to listen, doesn't matter who he has in his corner if he's going to go out and fight however he feels like at the moment.

Ortiz has a good trainer, he just dint play the right game plan and sticked to his balls rather than his brains. He also dint show confidence as the fight got tougher.

I'VE GOT IT!!!! Ortiz needs Teddy Atlas, Teddy can give him the 1 on 1 he needs, and give him lengthy inspiring speaches when he goes into the corner - "There comes a time in every man's life . . . . . . . "
