Obviously it's going to be competitive. But to say Pac's speed will actually work against him is a ****** thing to say, agression maybe, but not speed.

Yeah, it is safe to say that the speed advantage always goes to the faster fighter, not his opponent. This would qualify as common sense, lol.

TEN REASONS COTTO WILL BEAT PACQUIAO

10.) Speed- Even though this asset goes to Pacquiao, Cotto will know how use it in his benefit and counter; making it to his advantage; not the Pacman’s.

agreed... cotto was able to time mosley who has a lot of speed himself.

9.) Power- Pacman has tons of pop, but Cotto still has the advantage here, especially given his size advantage and body attack.

8.) Punch Selection- Cotto knows what to throw and when to throw it.

fail. although cotto does have good punch selection, cotto's favorite punch is the left hook (mostly to the body) or the jab.

7. ) Size- No explanation needed here, Cotto is much bigger!

This is the main reason why cotto will beat pac. pac is too small.

6.) Boxing Skills- As much as Manny has improved, he still isn’t as technically sound as the Puerto Rican.

Pac is the better technician. he can set traps, throw false jabs, punch and defend at the same time, feint, head movement, etc... against DLH we saw pac throw a lot of left hands up the middle and turn DLH. against hatton we saw Pac throw right hooks and duck under.

cotto is versatile, but he's a robot.

5.) Defense- Cotto has very good and probably under rated defense. He will be able to parry Pac’s straight left hand with ease.

cotto can't avoid an uppercut to save his life. he also is open for the overhand right. also, he doesn't have barely any head movement. its sad.

4.) Experience- Both men have significant ring experience, but I think Cotto’s will better suit him for this fight; mainly because of his fight against Shane Mosley.

i think pac has a superior resume to cotto against better opponents and at bigger venues, the difference is cotto has fought at WW way more and this is only pac's 2nd fight at WW.

3.) Respect- Cotto will show respect for Manny’s power instead of simply running in like an amateur a la Hatton.

i think cotto said something like he wasn't impressed w/ pac's power because DLH is washed up and Hatton is overrated. I don't think Cotto really respects Pac's power.

2.) Will- Both men have great heart, grit and will, but Cotto has had to show it more often, and has no problem doing so.

Pac has this hands down. Cotto is a quitter.

1.) Ring IQ- Cotto simply understands the game slightly better; giving him the knowledge and know how to beat Pac.[/COLOR][/B]

ROTFLMAO!!!! Cotto quit against Margo and was struggling bad w/ Clottey... Cotto's "Ring IQ" isn't that great.

the number one reason why cotto will win is because Pac is a little dude and cotto will outweigh him by 10 lbs on fight night. a MW fighting a WW isn't a fair fight.
