Thompson was a class act with his strange akward sloppy way. Add to it that he is a right-handed southpaw (I think the reachiest righthanded southpaw in heavyweight history) and you see what a great performance Wlad delivered.
where was the great performance? he jabbed away till the fat whale got tired and he pushed him over.

doesnt take a genius to realize whos the better fighter.
Styles make fights, so I'm not sure if he's the better fighter.

But I've always said Tony Thompson is very underrated. Wlad's other opponents since 2007, Austin, Brewster, Ibragimov, Rahman and Chagaev have landed nothing significant on him, but after the Thompson fight, Wlad was marked up.

But why has Tony been so INACTIVE since his fight wth Wlad? He should be fighting and exposing frauds like David Haye.

Thompson was unbeaten (except for a decision-loss in a 4-rounder:31-1). Noone has schooled Thompson like Wlad did. Impressive performance by Wlad as you will see in the years to come: Thompson is an extremely hard to beat boxer with a rock solid chin/defense.

Even more astonishing: Where is Ibragimov? Obviously Wlad did a lot more than just beat him.

Thompson did better against Vlad but head to head Chagaev would beat Tony

strongly disagree. wlad was just better in the chageav fight. he was much quicker. he probably took thompson lightly and wasnt motivated. chageav>>>thompson

he actually fought defensively. if not he'd have probably been knocked out sooner
