    Jorge Linares-Argenis Mendez sparring video

Bored at work, just watched this.........figured I'd post it on here seeing as I found it pretty entertaining.

Take a nice break from all this Ortiz-Maidana, Quitting, Mexican Warrior stuff and enjoy the vid

    Great find.

I'm guessing "bonito" translates as "cool it, you ****s".

I've been a big fan of Mendez since the first time I seen him...

I remember being at MSG before the opened the gates. There was this huge group of people wearing shirts and hats for this guy Bobby "The Hammer" Campbell and they were all chanting his name. Then as soon as I got in the arena was pretty much empty and I seen all them people chanting as that guy got announced. They were annoying me so my friend and I starting cheering for the opponent, who turned out to be Mendez. Mendez destroyed that guy lol he knocked him down like 5 times in the first round and KOd him.....Been a fan ever since.

Heard he lost recently though, didn't get to see the fight.

As far as Linares, He has great POTENTIAL but I think people overrate him on this site. They talk about what he could potentially do as if he has already done it or could do it easily. He hasn't looked as sharp to me in any of his recent fights as he did in the Larios fight, the only fight most people seen of his.

Correct me if I'm wrong, I may not remember correctly but the fight your talking about was televised right? and it was against a Cuban, I remember me and my older brother watching it on T.V, where he dropped the guy 5 times.

Nah it was against some white dude. It was on the Cotto-Judah untelevised undercard. It was the first fight of the night I think. I dunno if dropped this guy exactly 5 I just remember every time he hit the dude he leveled him lol it was hilarious watching it and seeing his annoying little fan club shut up while I was cheering for Mendez.

Ah, never seen that one, I've seen very few. Luckly he is still young and from what I hear he has asthma, reason why he gassed in the undercard to Guzman vs Diaz, actaully he came close to losing, sad to watch but he reached deep and came back.
