Does Victor Ortiz's comments lower his stock?

I mean those comments he made along with his actions that last round really surprised me.
From a business standpoint even if you believe, "I wont go out on my back for nobody",I dont deserve to get beat up like this", I believe he should have never said it, especially after giving up at the first sign of adversity.
Forget about Mexican and Puerto Rican Pride and "warrior guts", as a man he just quit. Some haters in here want to compare Ortiz vs Maidona to Cotto vs. Margarito...but cmon!
I almost feel dumb explaining but keep in mind some Margacheato lovers and Cotto haters have to hear it.
Cotto lasted to the 11th and truly warred(no one can question his heart)against a GOOD CHANCE in possible loaded gloves! and against Clottey he fought with that cut (worse that Ortiz) from round 3 to 12.
Also technically, Cottos loss was his corner throwing in the towel while Ortiz waved his hands and nodded NO!

In Ortiz's defense, he is a good guy, a good fighter and a young kid that made a young mans bad statement but it does hurt his stock. His colors were shown.
"In a sport where us fans require our fighters to be willing to go out on their shield" -Max Kellerman.....Ortiz failed.

I think his performance in the 6th round is what I think lowers his stock. I certainly won't risk paying 50 bucks in the future cause I would be thinking he might pull a stunt like that again.
