Dana White Destroys Floyd Mayweather

1st off I didnt look at the video. I was just reading the quotes from the thread starter and there is no facts behind it. People just want to say that but its not true. They have 2 common opponents and Floyd sold way more. You know he will sell way more against JMM than Pac did also. He also sold more in PPV's against avearage guys than Pac did against stars so I cant see where Dana is rightComment

You guys are all clowns. This thread has been made a million times and they alll say that White has a point. How does he have a point? He only has a point because you guys dont like Floyd and you want him to have a point. Give me 1 fact about Pac being a bigger Superstar than Floyd. Just give me 1. YOu cant do it. He's sold way more then Pac but you guys dont want to aknowledge it because you dont like Floyd. What White said isnt true. He says that because Floyd just dissed him. Ofcourese he's going to say that Pac is bigger just like you guys are going to say it but the numbers speak for themselves.
PS- Incase you guys didnt know, the JMM fight is still on. If they couldnt sell it and make that money then they wouldnt have remade the fight. Thats all Floyd hating also. The fact is that the guy was legitmatly injuried and I bet anything that they will show it on the 24/7 show

give me a break. If you dont think Mayweather is a star in boxing, then youre delusional.
There are very, very few figures in boxing that could EVER draw a huge crowd with a mediocre opponent. And Mayweather is not one of them. But when he fights, and its a big name opponent...its a big event.(At least in America)
I dont like the guy that much, and I dont honestly believe he has tons of diehard fans like Hatton or Pacquiao, but he can easily bring in the PPV numbers with the right opponent.
hes even more well known now anyways, because of his ridiculousness with wrestling, his internet commercial, his song with Ludacris, his Dancing thing, etc...Comment

Unfortunately superstar can't be quantified in 'ppv numbers' alone. do we use nba/nfl/nhl/mlb ratings to quantify how successful a team or organization is? No. Pacquiao is a bigger star right now for reasons bigger and more important than common ppv numbers in 2 similar fights. If you add up their career ppv the numbers are very close. Pac's been on ppv more. Pac has brought more excitement to the sport than Floyd ever has or will. If you want to live and die by ppv numbers be my guest, but I think the impact a guy who hardly speaks english and was just brought to the mainstream america after 2003 is ridiculous. People want to see Pac fight more than they do Floyd. Dana White is spot on here.
Bottom line is casual fans leave Pacs fight wanting to see more, casual fans dont care to see floyd fight as much as they want to see him lose cuz of his attitude. Sorry but him n oscar **** the bed in the biggest fight in boxing. Pac regardless of circumstance fought in a way that casual fans will watch him again for his actual fighting abilities. To me thats a superstar.Last edited by sandyvahra; 06-28-2009, 03:57 PM.Comment
