I saw him against Kotelnik and i think he just nicked the fight, But the judges saw it the other way, he couldnt do all the stuff he did to ortiz in the kotelnik fight because kotelnik is a defensive master but i still score the fight to him, I think the WBA also disagree with the scorecard and they gave him a chance to fight for the WBA interim title.

Good fighter and he must have studied some of Ortiz's fights because he knew that he could shuffle forward with his faster feet and put that right hand right between the gloves. He got hit alot but Ortiz has skills and can punch too but the difference was in the will and the aggresiveness and of course the chin. It seemed like Ortiz was hurt in the first and recovered to maybe 75% of what he was before getting hit with that shot. But back to Maidaina, the guy is an Animal, straight up, I didnt expect that much from him he showed alot of heart and good recovery from knockdowns, good arsenal of punches although all he needed was the right cross.

Balls to the wall and El Chino got down. A little too much rabbit punching for my taste but that was more on Raul Caiz Sr., but he did the best he could and it happens. I honestly enjoyed that fight so much, I have watched it three times already

                    Baldomir is a good example.
