this aint the sport for ortiz

This is a warrior sport like zab judah said. If u aint a warrior then u dont deserve to be in that ring. Ortiz has it all, skill, speed, intelligence, physics, but hes missing the most important thing, warrior mentality.

If you know you're going to lose why shorten your career. This isn't gladiator, it's a sport.

Too many barbaric people follow the sport, if someone can't continue they can't continue. I can't think of why you would want to see an individual struggle untill he is beaten into the canvas other than a sadistic nature.

Zab Judah?????? the guy fights 4 rounds and then folds!

Ortiz went to war. The only way Maidana was winning this fight was by turning it into a slugfest, if anything Ortiz got excited and the 'warrior mentality' threw him away from the more sensible game plan that would have given him the Win.

taking nothing away from maidana (who by the way is getting little credit)

the only concerning thing from ortiz were his comments after, But i put that down to the occassion.

I was very disappointed in Ortiz for quitting so easily. Personally, I don't think he will fight on much after this. His comments after the fight suggest that he is questioning whether he needs to carry on fighting, and from the way he quit after getting hurt without any hesitation proves that he is not built for this sport.
