What's worse when losing: quitting or going out on your shield?

If a fighter is being outclass to the point that he can't win and he's getting ******....what would you as a fan or trainer have him do.....quit and live to fight another day or give the fans that pay to see you a climatic conclusion and go out on your shield?

Keeping in mind the mental aspect of the trainer and the fans.

Margarito the plaster master seemed to gain fans for going out on his shield. He should have lost fans though for trying to cheat against a 37 old man.

          Your avatar makes me sick.

Anyway if I was the trainer I would throw in the towel. Obviously some fighters have pride and wouldn't want to call it a day, but if he is taking severe punishment and there is no real chance of him turning it around imho it should be stopped.

a boxer should go out on his shield, but his corner and the fight doctor should know if and when to stop the fight.

                    Depends.

I don't consider stopping a fight if one guy is getting pummeled a quit.
