Oritz: I Was Ready To Keep Going

    "
I was ready to keep going, but when the ref said no, I said, 'All right, I'm not going to fight,' " Ortiz said. "If I was going to sit here and say I'm not hurt, I'm lying. But as far as me going in there and giving it more, I'm up for it."

Just read this on the LA Times Sports section. Seems opposite of what he said yesterday.

that fight seemed staged. all those knockdowns and each fighter got up like nothing happened each time. the announcers didn't seem suprised either.

I wouldn't be surprised if it was his promoters telling him to say this, quite honestly.

its easy to say you wanted to go on after the fact

his actions in the ring tell a completely different story

Yup, and added the fact alot of posters on boxingscene hyped this kid up saying he'd destroy pacquiao yet he gets beat up by a brawlers whos majority of his punches were right hands. And his opponent also had no jab what so ever, and Ortiz was doing pretty good against his opponent before he stopped using his jab. Maybe his opponent used pressure or movements that made Ortiz to stop throwing it, or maybe this just showed Ortiz inexperience and wanted to brawl with a brawler.

Either way, he was partially exposed since he lost to a fighter who has no jab, and all that Oritz would kick Pacquiaos ass talk is over thankfully.
