I hope he can come back from this defeat, one thing that worries me is that it sounded like he quit after getting cut and hurt.

He looked good for 2 rounds, then looked amateurish and sloppy but was still doing well until the end of round 5 where he seemed to give up.

All I saw was the round he quit in...

He was fine, backed up to the corner, tried to get out but stumbled. Got up, looked at Maidana and threw his hands out there like "Im done with this". Walked to the neutral corner, the ref said something. He shrugged his shoulders and replied something short like "no" or something. The ring doctor wiped some sweat off of his eyebrows. They said something. Ref called it off....


To me Ortiz looked like a Charlie Z.
