Taylor abuses him at this stage, he's way too much of a step up in competition.

        Manfredo, however...

On another topic people were hyping jacobs up too much, saying he is ready for ****ing kelly pavlik... Now, I've seen jacobs fight and he is good fighter but its not time to throw him in against the lions just yet.

He should fight Fernando Guerrero. It would be a great fight of up and comers and I think Guerrero wins 9 out of 10 times. They had some great fights in the amateurs. Another good fight for either one would be Shawn Porter. Porter dropped both Guerrero and Jacobs numerous times in the amateurs.

Manfredo will be a cake walk for him. Manfredo can't bust a g**** and will never earn Jacob's respect. From a promotional standpoint though....good fight for Jacobs.

I think you're underestimating Manfredo. He's not a top fighter but he'd still be Jacobs' best opponent BY FAR, and in his last outing KO'd Walid Smichet, something John Duddy couldn't accomplish. He's got enough power to bother Jacobs and just enough skill to put it to use.

Don't get me wrong, I think Jacobs beats Manfredo but it would be his biggest test to date, as Manfredo has fought bigger, better men than Jacobs and only been legitimately stopped once, by Bika who is a beast and probably outweighed him by 15 lbs on fight night.

Not to mention that based on public opinion, Manfredo did enough to get a W over Sergio Mora who went on to (briefly) wrestle a belt away from Vernon Forrest.

                    There's no hurry.

He's fighting a lot and learning a lot.

Let him continue on that path.
