For all those talking **** about Ortiz quiting, please enter

I mean seriously. Yeah he quit but most people on here are too hard on him and so quick to label fighters finished for any little thing. Ive played and watch every sport and for those talking **** about him, cotto, morales and others giving in.....name 10 athletes in any sport that hasnt in any part of there career gave in and fold. It happens all the time its just in boxing, the most brutalist sport, that we try to crap on these guys when most of the fans and posters on here would quit after a few solid shots if they ever stepped in the ring.

Yeah Im not making excusses for him, hell I cant even say Im a fan of his, but this as well as most other post fight comments are ridiculous. Some of the greatest athletes, even boxers have subcome and gave up.

Vic will be back..he is just gonna have to work his way back up. I think he loves boxing but a lot of those comments had to do with his lack of being articulate with his words and not saying what he really means.

I think he could have won that fight if he utilized his boxing skills more and used his jab more often. I mean at times when he used his jab it appeared to be working pretty good for him. I know I'm not the one in the ring, so maybe theirs a reason he stopped using it. Maybe his opponents pressure or movements made it harder for him to throw... Only Victor knows, and he still did take some brutal shots though...

so he didn't just disrespected all those fighters who wanted to quit but couldn't cause they had to feed their familes and make a living of getting beat in the face?

i understand he quit when he had too....fair enough

but i mean damn at least put up a fight when you get KD.

and he acted like it was OK....like if he's in any type of trobule loike that again he just do the same thing.

he a good fighter with talent but he needs work.

what are you talking about? he got hit with several shots that could have put him away but he kept fighting. Real talk his biggest mistake was letting his guard down to continuously get tagged. He took shots that could have put anyone away. I mean if any boxer with some decent power can load up with repeated clean power punches to the face, then that fighter can put anyone away. Its like leaving the sorriest player in the NBA open to shoot a jumpshot. They are all in the NBA for a reason and will knock it down....in similar fashion, these are all professional boxers and most have atleast decent power. You let any of them load up on you a few times and I dont care who you are, your gonna get ****ed up.

There was a lot of hype around this kid as being the next big thing in boxing. I don't think people where expecting him to lose, and to lose the way he did, by giving up... People probably took it as how can this be the next big superstar, if he just quit the way he did? Especially after what he said in the post-fight interview. As a fan you have to question is he really the man or just another fighter that was hyped up to be something he wasn't? Only time will tell. If he's a true champion then he'll claw his way back to the top and come back strong, and if he doesn't...well then we have our anwser...maybe he wasn't the next big thing after all. Just have to wait and see.
