He said nothing really wrong but tried too hard to play to the commentators and the crowd; he lost and people wanted to know why. He said the other guy was better and he wanted to save himself so he could be coherent later in life.

He looked good but the mental aspect is the thing that gets these HBO fighters that are supported and pushed so strongly by them. Once they get cut or face serious opposition, they break mentally (Juan Diaz is a prime example and Cotto to a degree). Nothing against him but for all the shizz people give Khan for losing to an undefeated guy with a 90% KO rating, Ortiz should catch some slack as well for a while.

Well, a lot of Mexican American fans still resent Oscar for "running" against Tito even though he should have won that fight and never actually quit. So this is definitely going to linger over him for a long time.. if he ever rises above contender status. And I agree, getting a rematch would be a step in the right direction

Nah I think he'll fade without too much scrutiny from Mexican fans. Ortiz never talked alot of **** and never acted like a macho **** head. He got ****** on, and looks like he's gonna leave as humble as he came. lol You can't be mad at a guy like that.
