Ortiz has great skills, but unfortunately he has no chin. plus, i wouldn't say he has much heart either. he clearly took a "time out" when he should have took a standing 8.

cheers to Maidana for taking out yet another hypeman.

When I had found out that Ortiz quit, I knew right there he'd never amount to anything. This is not to slight Maidana. I think he is a player at 140, but Ortiz tarnished the fight by bailing out like that. I normally don't kick dirt on a fighter when he loses. But this is one of those situations of where it is called for. It's like he acted like he was proud of the fact that he quit. I thought Ortiz would beat Berto before this fight happened. Now I have reservations about that. But if Berto decided to fight Maidana, it would be someone who is more skilled than Urango to go along with the power.

He is Mexican-American who has said otherwise? Also Ortiz is only 22 years old and has plenty of time to develop. At least he didn't get destroyed like Khan, by a complete nobody who was supposed to be a tune up. The racist British public don't even refer to him as British, that is why they came to his fight with MAB wearing sombreros hoping he would lose again.

BTW What posters are you referring to?

I dunno, I kinda liked Maidana's dreamy "chino" eyes. Something about them. So mysterious. You never know if he can see outa them
