Maybe he didn't but he did a lot of damage to taylor in that fight! And if margie got away with it for as long as we think he did then who knows. Think about, Taylor was waaaaay more talented of a fighter than chavez and it was a mega bout that the winner would be damn near immortal. Maybe he didn't but I wouldn't doubt it. Others have done it with far less on the line!

Dude Taylor had way more skill than Chavez. Is not even close to be honest with you.

Depends on what you mean by skill. More hand and footspeed for sure, but there were few men who were as adept as Chavez was at breaking an opponent down.

Look at Chavez vs Rosario for example.

Cotto fought valiently, but he took a lot of shots and was at times, clearly shaken up by Clottey.
What really hurt Cotto was the headbutt that open a bleeding wound on his eyebrow in the third round. Not only was he hurt, he couldn’t see out of that eye eitheir. Most boxers would have stop fighting, yet Cotto continue effectively surviving until the final round and won the fight too!!!

Another smart move by Roach, they seen weaknesses in DLH and Hatton and I'm sure they see the effects of the beating Tony gave Cotto.
Indee Cotto is not the same after the Margarito fight, getting beat up with loaded gloves will definitely affect anybody, but you saying he got the "Meldrick Taylor syndrome” is just pure hate!!!

That's what I thought, perhaps we can get back to the subject now that you've realized that you are a loser.

Chavez beat the snot out of Taylor. Margarito beat the caca out of Cotto. Cotto's next fight against a credible, but limited opponent and he's running scared trying not to get KTFO. Clottey can't crack an egg and he's got Cotto holding & hugging and running for his life. The Pacquiao fight will cement the fact that Margarito inflicted long term damage on Miguel Cotto. And this will be the topic of discussion moments after Manny knocks Cotto TFO.

Boxing skills. Chavez could not touch Taylor in his prime.

Thats my whole point! That fight sealed each of their legacies. Tell me if Taylor would have defeated Chavez, and his health would have been as it was prior to this bout, whos legacy would have been better?

                      I'm just saying!
