cosign roach dont make any sense. if pac fights intelligently than that means pac will be on the move all night. so this fight will go the distance unless cotto can catch up and hurt pac then cotto by tko.

Mosely doesn't want to fight Pac badly because he thinks he can win or lose. It's quite simple he want to fight Pac because he stands to make his highest pay day. I don't fault Mosely for that he himself deserves a big fight but so does Cotto who has put in his work against some of the toughest fighters in his weight divison. To me whoever gets the fight they deserve it. Pac does stand to make more against Cotto simply because Cotto has a much stronger following then Mosely. Mosley has never been a big draw for some reason even in his days when he was beating Oscar. Overrated? I would never say that about Shane he has fought a lot of though fighters and I do agree with him when he says he shouldn't have to take on the PW or the Clottey's. People have to understand he has put in his time. I would not agree with Oscar when he says that Mosley is the most feared fighter though. Mosley should fight Berto, then take either the winner or loser of Pac-Cotto or Money-Marquez.

This is going to be a great fight. I gotta be honest, I can't predict who's going to do what in any round, as others have said, anything can happen. Both fighters have gone through quite a few changes, both always coming through with more experience, evolving, working on their prospective weak points and turning them into strenghts.

Let's take a quick look at Pac fight with Hatton. Yeah, it was a great ko for Pac, but i also think he got a little lucky (along with his good timing and skill) with that punch. I don't like hatton at all, but look at his prior fights. He's a dam good boxer, a well rounded fighter. You gotta give him his kudo's.

Manny has gone through most of his evolution to what he is now, Cotto is still evolving, studying on his flaws and working on his weak points. And he also has an opportunity to study the "new Manny" whereas, Manny doesn't have the "new Cotto" to study. Plus the point was made here before, Cotto is a bigger, stronger natural ww, manny is not.

Manny is coming into Cotto territory, not vice-versa. I am very confident that Cotto is going to win this fight. Manny ain't gonna make it easy for him, and yeah, this is the fight of Cotto's life, Cuz Manny is a bloodthirsty, lighting fast monster of a finisher, But Cotto is hard as nails now, with great determination, he's got his confidence back, he's a beast. His liver punch is deadly, and Manny has a smaller frame that cotto can harm fairly easy if he can get in a couple good left hooks.

If he can accomplish that, that will weaken Manny substantially, and Manny doesn't have the greatest defense cuz he's always on the offense and can be countered by a good boxer. Cotto is a great counter and has a good defense which he's tightening up before the fight. We all know this. He admits he needs to work on his defense, "especially uppercuts which manny doesn't have but is probably working on, and so is Cotto", (defense) so when you put all this together, you have a Cotto win.

But like i said, Manny ain't giving away any free belts this year and he's going to make Cotto pay for it, maybe dearly, but I say the "new, improved, evolved and polished" Cotto will come out of this with the "rose in his teeth."

Roach Believes That Clottey Will Beat Miguel Cotto

          By Mark Vester

Trainer Freddie Roach is not going to hold his breath for a potential Manny Pacquiao vs. Miguel Cotto bout. He is not confident that Cotto will get past Joshua Clottey on June 13th at New York's Madison Square Garden. Top Rank is very interested in matching both fighters and Pacquiao will be ringside for Cotto's defense against Clottey.

"I think Cotto will lose his next fight or has a good chance to. He is in for a very tough fight." Roach was quoted as saying by Digital Journal.

The big subject of weight has been brought up. If Cotto beats Clottey and then falls in line for Pacquiao, he will need to get down to at least 142lbs, and the same goes for Shane Mosley. Cotto is willing to get down as low as 144 and Mosley may consider shaving off a pound or two but it's very unlikely that either of them could get down to 142.

"He weighs around 147 pounds and my guy is a 140 pounder. The same with Sugar Shane. If he wants to come down in weight and make it more of a 140 pound division fight. We will also consider him," Roach said.
sry i was mistaken, roach did not say clottey would ko cotto, but he did say clottey would beat cotto.
